State Representative Tami Zawistowski (R-61) had the honor of presenting a citation on behalf of the Connecticut General Assembly to Art Groux of Suffield, a member of the Suffield Volunteer EMS, for his continued service to our state and community. Sonny Osowiecki attended the ceremony and accepted the award on Art’s behalf.

In addition to the citation, Groux was awarded the Public Health Commissioner’s Award by The Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Raul Pino for his positive impact on the EMS system. The intent of this award is to recognize and commend an individual that has made an impact on pre-hospital care. Art has worked in EMS for over 25 years – 22 of them as a paramedic. He currently serves as the Chief of Service for Suffield EMS and Emergency Management Director for the Town of Suffield.
