How You Can Help – Masks for Heroes

Print More

Some of you may have heard recently about large deliveries of donated surgical type masks to Suffield House and Suffield by the River, as well as smaller donations to Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association and other organizations working with the public during the COVID-19 outbreak. This effort has been made possible by previously anonymous donors who have recruited local people to identify needs and to deliver the masks. George Colli, who dropped off some of the masks in Suffield, has been delivering for them all over the state. I have been working with the donors to identify critical needs in Suffield and have been making smaller deliveries myself.

The original donors – who a reporter has since revealed are Bob and Amy Stefanowski of Madison, CT – recruited many others to help, and have now set up an organization – Masks for Heroes – in conjunction with the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven. Donations may be made through their site: https://jewishnewhaven.org/masksforheroes

The group is also actively seeking manufacturing sources for protective gowns and other personal protective equipment.
