Did you get a new cell phone? Don’t throw your old one away. Recycle it and help protect wildlife!
Why Recycle?
- Cell phones and handheld devices contain hazardous substances like arsenic, cadmium, and lead.
- When discarded, these toxins can pollute soil and water, harming animals and people.
- Devices also contain tantalum, mined from coltan in central Africa—home to gorillas, chimpanzees, and okapis.
How You Can Help:
Drop off old cell phones, smartphones, flip phones, iPods, MP3 players, tablets, and handheld gaming devices at any of these locations:
- Town Hall
- Kent Memorial Library
- Senior Center
- M & T Bank
- Suffield High School
Please erase all personal data before recycling.
Your actions make a difference. Clean out your old devices and help preserve our planet!
