In January and February, the McAlister community – students, families and staff members – participated in its annual One Book, One Community read. One Book, One Community is a program designed to create a shared reading experience within a school community. This year’s selection was Tree. Table. Book.
Barbara Dowd was a beloved teacher in Suffield for 39 years.
In early 2024, three 5th graders at McAlister Intermediate School, Olivia Coombs, Phoebe Sherman, and Hamda Asim read a story called Little Libraries, Big Heroes by Miranda Paul.
Students returning to school on Thursday, August 29, were met with a simple but powerful message.
