Girl Scout Garden Project at Hilltop Farm Wraps Up

The Community Garden at Hilltop Farm is changing with the temperature! Where tomatoes were just ripening, we now see gourds, winter squash and pumpkins. Keep an eye out for jays, cardinals and finches snacking on the remaining seeds from this summer’s sunflower harvest as you hike around the farm enjoying the foliage.

Our Cadette Girl Scouts (Troop 10994) are celebrating a successful summer project with their Community Garden! Their planning and hard work resulted in providing 115 lbs. of produce and nearly 100 flowers to our senior housing, Meals on Wheels recipients and local families! We appreciate the ongoing support and look forward to welcoming you to upcoming events at the farm, and participation in the scouts’ service projects. Be sure to follow fofah.org and chat with your local scouts for upcoming opportunities at Hilltop Farm and beyond.
