Girl Scout Wins Coveted Gold Award

Beatrice Marcavitch

Suffield Girl Scout Beatrice Marcavitch recently won a Gold Award for her community-impacting project, entitled Music Legacy Program. Beatrice developed a mentorship and outreach program designed to encourage younger students to remain involved in school music programs as they transition to middle and high school. Through presentations, student role models, brochures and a dedicated website, she highlighted the lifelong value of music education and artistic involvement. Her project helps preserve arts participation while inspiring the next generation of student musicians. Beatrice is one of the 28 Gold Awardees, the highest honor earned in the Girl Scout organization.
