Adventure awaits! During the first week of June, Troops 260 and 262 sharpened their canoeng skills in preparation for their coming 50-mile trek on the Allagash Waterway (June 22-28). Scouts practiced canoe capsize recovery, learning how to empty a swamped canoe and safety-reenter it on the water. With two crews totaling 20 participants, the scouts will soon embark on an unforgettable wilderness adventure, carrying everything they need to camp, cook and thrive along the water. The scouts had a great time mastering a new skill and are excited for the journey ahead!
