Mike Payak of Little Falls, N. Y., describes features of his 1947 Chrome Flyer Indian Chief Motocycle to Bill Phelps. The police parade bike was described as the world’s fastest Indian. Mike rode 160 miles that morning to Hilltop Farm for FOFAH’s well-attended Hendee Day and Vintage Motorcycle Rally on July 23. It was worth it, as the glistening cycle won Best Custom Bike, Best Vintage Indian, and Most Unique Bike.
