This year, Spaulding School has engaged in a school improvement plan that focuses on teacher, administrator, and student growth. One of our long-term strategies is to partner with families and community members, engaging them in activities and discussions that emanate around the plan and its components.

Our math consultant, Christine Moynihan, facilitated a K–5 Parent Night where parents learned about the need for change in the teaching and learning of mathematics and how number sense plays a critical role in children’s mathematical understanding. Dr. Moynihan reviewed how Suffield’s curriculum is providing students with fluidity and flexibility with numbers so that they can use numbers to navigate the world successfully and be productive citizens.
