The Garden Club will be holding a meeting on Monday, March 5 at 11:45 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall, 100 North Main Street.
Coffee, tea and a light buffet luncheon preceding a business meeting, is $5, and guests are cordially welcomed up to three visits per year.
Our guest speaker, Julie Collier, changed careers in 1990 and followed her heart giving educational raptor programs dedicated to the increasing public understanding, and appreciation of North American birds of prey.
She formed “Wingmasters” with Jim Parks and expanded programs ranging from native American and colonial history to ancient civilizations.
All incorporate, along with live birds of prey, a wide-ranging collection of artifacts. Julie will be bringing four of her raptors to the meeting.
