Conor Smith, an SHS Agriscience student from Granby, carefully backs a tractor and its trailing manure spreader down a narrow line of cones in one of the skills competitions during the Connecticut FFA Convention. The state-wide convocation was hosted this year on June 4 by the Suffield Regional Agriscience Center at SHS, which serves ten towns in this region. Smith, a senior from Granby, plans to study forestry at the University of New Hampshire and become an arborist.
