Savor the bounty of Suffield during the Phelps-Hatheway Harvest Days, September 9-11.
An all-town picnic on our front lawn will kick off the festivities. This event is free: please bring a dish prepared with at least one locally grown item and a place setting. A salad harvested that afternoon from our new vegetable beds (courtesy of the Friends of Suffield) will accompany the entrees.
Calling all bakers! The end of summer is a perfect time for pies!
A pie contest of various categories will be held after our picnic on Friday, September 9. The winners will enjoy family or individual memberships for one year to the beautiful properties of Connecticut Landmarks.
After our feast (and pie!), join our costumed guides on a twilight tour of our historic property. Lanterns will lead us through the dimly lit corners of our house and transport you to the time before electricity illuminated our homes.
Admission for the lantern tours is $15 and $10 for CTL members.
