Volunteer Jim Reeves installs the last screw in the big platform scale now restored and reassembled in the King House Museum barn. The scale, from the Fairfield tobacco warehouse on North Main Street, was a gift several years ago from Paul and Jean Sutton. The museum’s 1840’s barn, rebuilt in 2009, is still a work in progress.
