Join the Bowling Buddies Group!
Want to make new friends and get some great exercise each week? Then, join us in our weekly bowling league! The Suffield Parks and Recreation Department’s Bowling Buddies Program practices each Tuesday from September through May at Bradley Bowl in Windsor Locks from 4:30-6:45 p.m. and is looking for new members and volunteers, coaches and Special Partners. If you would like to participate or be a part of any of our special programs, please contact Donna Carney-Bastrzycki, Special Programs Coordinator at 860-668-3862. You must pre-register. The group is for ages fourteen-adult. We also go on many fun outings and nights out throughout the year. Sign up and join in on the fun!
On Target Mini Horse Farm in West Suffield!
The Bowling Buddies Group visited Mary Adams and Gary Gudinkas’ “On Target-Mini Horse Farm” here in Suffield in July and August. This is one of the favorite places of everyone in the group that we visit. There are several incredible mini horses that we were able to groom and walk. We all had so much fun spending time with the mini horses and learning more about them.
Scare-it-up-Suffield!
The Suffield Parks & Recreation Department, Kent Memorial Library, Suffield Senior Center & Mini Bus, and Suffield Youth Services have collaborated on this town-wide Halloween harvest themed event, which will be held at the Senior Center on Saturday, October 22.
Register your scarecrow before October 19 with Parks & Recreation or Kent Memorial Library at: suffieldrec.com or suffield-library.org. Scarecrows categories are Most Creative, Funniest, Prettiest, and Most Spirit of Suffield. In addition, there will be a youth and teen award along with the People’s Choice.
