In memory of Jordyn Engler, Spaulding School’s playground now includes beautiful mirror chimes that were installed in her honor.

Jordyn, the daughter of McAlister Intermediate School teacher Tanya Engler, passed away last year. Wyn Jespersen, Spaulding School’s music teacher, and Kim Guzzo, a CREC Early Beginnings interventionist, wrote and submitted a grant request to the Friends of Suffield. The approved grant allowed for the purchase of the mirror chimes to be placed on the playground for all to enjoy.

At a recent dedication ceremony, Mrs. Jespersen and Mrs. Guzzo spoke of Jordyn, her contributions, and the legacy that lives on with these chimes. A plaque located next to the chimes showcases this generous gift from the Friends of Suffield in honor of Jordyn.
