Polar Express: A Story Time

Children ages 3 -5 are invited to join us on Tuesday, December 6, at 6:30 p.m. or Wednesday, December 7, at 10:30 a.m. for a Polar Express Story Time

During this hour-long program children will travel to the North Pole in a train, drink hot cocoa, make a craft, meet Santa and hear the story The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg. Wear your PJ’s if you’d like. This program will be held at Second Baptist Church. Registration is limited. This program is funded by Friends of Kent Memorial Library.

Decorate a Gingerbread House

On Saturday, December 10, at 10:30 am, children ages 5 – 15 are invited to decorate a preassembled gingerbread House. The gingerbread house, frosting and candy will be provided. Registration is limited. This program will be held at Second Baptist Church, funded by the Friends of Kent Memorial Library. Suffield residents only.

Practice Reading – To A Dog!

Young readers are invited to practice their reading with a dog from Allan’s Angels Certified Therapy Dog Team on Saturday, December 17, between 10:30a.m. and 11:30a.m. All dogs have been trained, tested and certified for therapy work. Individual reading sessions last 15 minutes and are at 10:30a.m., 10:45a.m., 11 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Come read to a furry friend!

Play-Group

Come to Play-Group on Fridays, 10a.m. to noon. Want to meet other parents and kids? New to town? Come to Play-Group, offered to care-givers and children, Friday mornings any time between 10 a.m. and noon. No age restrictions, no registration required — just drop in.

Baby Rhyme Time

Join us for Baby Rhyme Time, infants to age 2, on Fridays at 10:30a.m. Come and enjoy books, songs, rhymes and fun! No registration required, just drop in.
