Swede’s Jewelers, founded in 1946, is celebrating 70 years of quality craftsmanship in their full-service jewelry store located at 98 Bridge Street in East Windsor, Connecticut.
After returning home from serving in World War II, Stan Swede founded Swede’s Jewelers, where he specialized in expert watch repair. His dream was to own a full-service jewelry store. Stan’s philosophy was if you provide high quality merchandise at fair prices and back it up with honesty, integrity and excellent service, you will always have a loyal clientele. That philosophy paid off, and it wasn’t long before Stan and his wife Alice opened a storefront on Main Street in Windsor Locks.
Recently, Swede’s Jewelers was awarded 1st place in the 2016 Connecticut Family Business Awards, sponsored by the Hartford Business Journal.
