Carol and Harrison Griffin took their copy of The Suffield Observer on a recent trip to Italy. They stopped to show it to Venetians on a wet Piazza San Marco in front of the glorious St. Mark’s Basilica. Must have been high tide.
Sandy and Mike Cahill took the Observer along on their two-week vacation trip through Eastern Europe, in case they became bored. Here they’ve stopped to read on Fishermen’s Bastion at Castle Hill Budapest, Hungary.
The scene looks a bit like Pisa, in Italy, but this Suffield group has taken the Observer to the Blarney Castle on a recent trip to Ireland, non-stop from Bradley on Aer Lingus. From the left: Alan and Marsha Fahrenholz and Ellen and Tony Peterson. Did they kiss the famous stone? They didn’t tell us.
Holding the Observer while hiking at the Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rock National Monument just south of Santa Fe, New Mexico are Molly Stromoski and her mother Danna Gaunter. They had gone to New Mexico in October to run their second half-marathon in Albuquerque.

Lou and Celeste Planzo are photographed with the Observer in one of the caves created by volcanic eruptions of Mt. Etna on the Italian island of Sicily. At the left is their guide Gian Paolo. The Planzos toured the island in September during their two-week trip through southern Italy and Sicily.
