Spaulding School second grade students sing “Put A Little Love in Your Heart” at their annual concert.

On Thursday, February 16, the second grade students at A. Ward Spaulding School treated the school audience to a winter concert entitled Put A Little Love In Your Heart! The program featured songs with a great message and lyrics that were not only meaningful for the young students, but also fun for the audience.

Principal Scott P. Dunn began the program with introductory remarks followed by traditional songs such as “I Love the Mountains,” which were augmented with Orff xylophones, glockenspiels, and harmony. Also, students sang a newer song, “Nothing More,” and the concert theme song, “Put A Little Love in Your Heart.” The concert concluded with the students singing the school song, “We Love Spaulding.” The message was loud and clear in every song the students sang at their performance. Putting a little love in your heart shows others that you care in wonderful ways and can make the world a better place. We refer to the lyrics often during our school day. I’m thrilled to have showcased our second grade singers this year!
