FOFAH Monster Tag Sale
The Friends of the Farm at Hilltop are very excited about our “Monster” Tag Sale & Flea Market coming up on Saturday, May 20. The tag sale is giving us a good reason to look through the farm buildings and houses for interesting things that can be sold. It looks like many other people have the same idea. With a month to go, more than two dozen have signed up for spaces, with a few purchasing a double space!
It is a tag sale so there will be lots of household items for sale. The flea market aspect of the event is also taking off, with vendors planning to sell antiques and rustic décor, books, jewelry, fashion accessories, and personal care products. Last, but certainly not least, crafters will be selling their handmade products. We are even expecting a chain-saw carver!
Tonka trucks will be out in our big sand pile to entertain the kids, and we expect to set up a scavenger hunt for them as well. JLM Catering will have their hot dog cart at Hilltop for folks who are looking to grab lunch or a snack.
We’re expecting a great turnout. According to Facebook, 330 people are already planning to attend, and a whopping 3,200 are interested!
The sale will be at Hilltop Farm, 1616 Mapleton Avenue (route 159) in Suffield on Saturday, May 20. Gates are open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, May 21.
