State Police Detectives Investigate Suffield Police-Involved Shooting

April 13 Connecticut State Police Detectives from Central District Major Crime are investigating a police-involved shooting in Suffield.

On April 13, at approximately 12:30 p.m. during the course of a motor vehicle stop, an interaction occurred with an occupant of the stopped vehicle resulting in an officer firing at least one round striking the party.

Thomas Gezotis, a Massachuett’s man, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

At the request of the State’s Attorney’s Office, Detectives from Central District Major Crime responded to the scene and have assumed the investigation. The name of the officer is also being withheld at this time.
