The Friends of the Farm at Hilltop, (FOFAH), hosted a volunteer appreciation picnic in June. The FOFAH board expanded their “Volunteer of the Year” program to include a special award for long-time supporters plus awards for both large and small corporate supporters.

Ellie and Richard Binns received the new “President’s Award.” Ellie and Richard are among the original founders of The Friends of the Farm and remain two of the most reliable volunteers almost 15 years later.

The Windsor Marketing Group is acknowledged for their support of fundraising efforts. Kevin Armata, WMG’s CEO and owner, offers valuable fundraising guidance, and his team of professionals produce marketing materials. WMG also hosts a very successful golf outing to benefit FOFAH.

Bill’s Landscaping LLC is recognized for their work restoring the Hilltop farmstead. Bill Guzie’s crews removed trees, installed turf, corrected a drainage problem, and plowed snow all winter.

Mike Mancini is honored as FOFAH’s 2017 “Volunteer of the Year”. Mike visits Hilltop week after week to mow and rake acres of grass and weeds. Mike and his daughter Tina are also regular volunteers at workdays and at events.

In addition to the heartfelt thanks of the entire FOFAH board, each honoree received a framed print of an original photograph of Hilltop Farm.
