Scout Receives Bixler Award

Life Scout Sam Sikes of Boy Scout Troop 260 receives the Corporal Stephen R. Bixler Award from Scoutmaster Mike Cremins at a Family Night June 6. The award is given in memory of Stephen, who was an Eagle Scout in Troop 260. It supports a Scout's cost to go on the troop's Allagash River Canoe Trip. All troop member's activities were tracked for a year, and advancement, meeting and camping attendance, participation in Troop events all earn points for this award. Sam is excited to go on the trip this summer; it will be his second time on the Allagash with the troop.
