After three days, 40 rounds and 1,215 names announced, the Major League Baseball draft ended Wednesday with 15 players with Connecticut ties selected by major league organizations.

Among the draftees was Suffield High School graduate Robbie Hitt, selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 24th round with the 714th overall pick. The right handed pitcher was taken following his junior year at Quinnipiac University, where he led the Bobcats in innings pitched with 58.2 in 2017.

At Suffield, Hitt was an All-State and All-NCCC selection in 2014. He owns school records in earned run average, strikeouts, wins and batting average.
