Halloween Costume Party for Children (ages 2-5)

On Wednesday, October 25, or Tuesday, October 31, at 10:15 a.m., children are invited to show off their Halloween costume. During the 45-minute party, we will read a Halloween story, play Halloween games, and make Halloween crafts. There will also be apples, munchkins and apple cider! Yum! Registration required.

Halloween Cartooning with Rick Stromoski (ages 6-12)

Rick is back! Rick Stromoski, Suffield resident and creator of the syndicated cartoon “Soup to Nutz,” will be teaching beginner’s cartooning techniques on Monday, October 30 at 4 p.m. This month, Rick’s beginner’s instruction will focus on things that go bump in the night in honor of Halloween. Bring a pad of paper and pencil, and come have fun! Registration required.

Fall Story Time (ages 2-5)

Exercise your imagination, learn something new, and enjoy some good stories along the way. There will be stories, crafts, and activities during this 30-45 minute story time. This five week series is for children ages 2-5 and runs Tuesdays (starts October 17) and Wednesdays (starts October 11) at 10:15 a.m. Registration encouraged, but we also welcome drop-ins. Come have fun!

Practice Reading – To a Dog!

Young readers are invited to practice their reading with a dog on Saturday, October 21, between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Working on your reading? Feeling a bit shy about reading? Want to show off your skills? Think it sounds like fun? Come read to a certified dog. Registration is limited.

Drop-in Programs

Play-Group

We have Play-Group on Fridays, 10 a.m. to noon. Is it raining? Want to meet other parents and kids? New to town? Come to Play-Group, offered to care-givers and children, Friday mornings any time between 10 a.m. and noon. No age restrictions, no registration required – just drop in.

Rhyme Time

(infants to preschoolers)

Join us for Rhyme Time, infants and up. Bring your singing voice on Fridays at 10:30 a.m.: books, songs, rhymes and fun! No registration required, just drop in.
