A View on Protesting

The flag isn’t owned by our military. It doesn’t symbolize our military. It symbolizes the concepts of freedom, liberty and justice for all people. When people protest injustice, they are asking our government and its representatives to live up to the promises of that symbol not just blind lip service.

Our servicemen are asked to put their lives on the line to protect the freedom and liberty and uphold the principles that all Americans are guaranteed by our Constitution.

When our government and its representatives do not live up to those principles, they are the ones disrespecting the memory of those fallen. Not people who protest the injustice and failures of our government to treat all people equally.
