Old Pine Blocks Highway

With its roots wrenched out by a strong wind gust shortly before noon on March 2, a tall ,straggly old pine tree rests on the power lines along Mountain Road just past Spaulding School. The Eversource man, who had arrived a few moments before the photo, was in his truck calling an Asplundh tree crew. The wind storm caused at least three road closures in town.
