Reading Buddies
October 11 at 4 p.m. 

Pair up your child with a caring, teen reading mentor! Reading Buddies is not instruction, but rather a chance for kids to connect over the love of a good book. Open to readers grades K-3 and mentors grades 6-12. Sign up at suffield-library.org and indicate “reader” or “mentor.”

Make Glow-in-the-Dark Slime!
October 27

Kids in grades 1 – 5 are invited to make slime, play with slime, and yes – bring your slime home (mwa-ha-ha!) Book your slot for Slime Time at either 10:15 a.m. or 11 a.m. Slime Time is funded by the Friends of Kent Memorial Library. Registration is limited.

Halloween Costume Party
October 31 
10:15 a.m.

Children ages 2 – 5 are invited to show off their Halloween costumes! Wear your costume, listen to a Halloween story, play Halloween games, make Halloween crafts, munch on apples, donuts and drink apple cider. Sponsored by the Friends of Kent Memorial Library. Registration is limited.

Harvest Fun
November 10  
10 a.m. to Noon

Families with children ages 3–9. Celebrate the harvest! Children can make a Thanksgiving Centerpiece and decorate a harvest wreath. There will be donuts and apple cider to complete the festivities! Sponsored by Friends of Kent Memorial Library. Register or drop-in.

Adults can register to make an autumn centerpiece using silk flowers, on the same day. Registration required.

Read to a Dog
Saturday, October 20 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Practice reading – to a dog! Saturday, October 20 between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Individual reading sessions last 15 minutes. Working on your reading? Feeling a bit shy about reading? Want to show off your skills? Come read to a certified dog from Healers with Halo’s. Check them out at www.boltenvet.com. Registration required.

Rhyme Time
Fridays at 10:30 a.m.

Bring your singing voice Fridays at 10:30 a.m. We sing, dance, blow bubbles – and have fun! Drop in.
