Fast Footed Track Team Excelled

Pictured in New Haven after the CIAC Class M state meet, Joe Somecrop, center right, helps the SHS boys indoor track team celebrate many individual victories and their award plaque for placing second overall. In the boys 4 x 800 relay, the Suffield quartet won to set a new state record and qualify for the nationals in New York in March. They won again the following week in the state open, four seconds faster.
