For the fifth year, the barn and grounds of the historic Phelps-Hatheway House & Gardens will be transformed into a Texas-style hoedown by the Stomp Out Cancer fundraiser on May 19. The fundraiser, locally referred to as Stomp, raises funds for non-profits that focus on cancer treatment and research. For a second year, the event will support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), which raises funds for childhood cancer research. The Stomp Planning Committee is excited to announce that Liz Smith, Alex’s mother, will be this year’s special guest.

ALSF has recognized Stomp as one of their premier Grandstand events and identified it as a top fundraiser in 2018. Stomp includes a traditional BBQ menu catered by Craft Meats of Southwick and live music by Whiskey, Wine and Coke. A Silent Auction, Mason Jar drawing, and 50/50 drawing are also part of the night’s activity. The Silent Auction includes items such as Patriots, Red Sox, and Yard Goats tickets, a stay at a Myrtle Beach vacation house, tickets to Train at Tanglewood, and a private cocktail party.
