Postcard photo provided by the Suffield Historical Society

This placid scene, pictured (mislabeled) ca.1920, shows the Remington Street bridge over Stony Brook, seen from Prospect Street before trees grew up to block the view. Research indicates that the old truss bridge is the one replaced in the early 1980s by the Suffield highway crew. That box culvert bridge is now considered functionally obsolete and is scheduled for replacement next year.
