While it is hard to believe, on Friday August 9, at Oak Ridge Golf Course the Suffield Rotary will be sponsoring the 28th Annual Glenn T. Packard Memorial Golf Tournament. For over a quarter of a century, this tournament, memorializing Glenn, has benefitted the Town of Suffield and its athletes.

1) Registration will start at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast at 8 a.m.

2) Shotgun tournament starts promptly at 8:30 a.m. At the end of the “golf day” we will be upstairs in the main dining room to enjoy a one hour open bar, buffet dinner and ceremonies.

As always, we are limited to 160 golfers in this 18-hole shotgun format tourney. Our prior participants will get first consideration. July 11 is the deadline to guarantee your team’s spot. Checks and registration forms must be in the committee’s hands by that date. After that date the roster opens as is on a first come first serve basis.

Team prizes will be awarded to the three teams with the lowest gross and to the team with the highest gross. We will have 5 hole-in-one opportunities with the top prize of $10,000 plus a 50/50 raffle on hole #4. And everyone has a chance to participate and win a fun-filled raffle with great prizes.

Once again, the cost for this special fun-filled day with friends old and new, while you honor Glenn and help our town, is $150 per golfer. Please contact your team soon as the roster typically fills up quickly. Please act now.

If you don’t have a full five golfer team please register as an individual player or a group of less than 5 golfers and we will pair you with other players. If you would like to sponsor a tee – the fee for a business sign is $150; we will forward our sponsor sheet to capture your correct information. Please call or email Jon Kozloski (860-668-0700 or, or Gayle Demko (860-668-5103 or, to request a registration form or become a sponsor, or visit

Send completed registration form and checks ($150 per golfer) to The Rotary Club of Suffield, P.O. Box 283 Suffield, CT 06078
