“Seventy-six trombones led the big parade, with a hundred and ten cornets close at hand…”.

How big a parade do you want? The October 10, 2020 parade celebrating Suffield’s 350th birthday is just a year away, and now is the perfect time to start thinking about how you want to participate!

Kids on decorated trikes and bikes will lead the parade, followed by bands, marching groups, floats, fire trucks and emergency vehicles, and classic vehicles of all kinds. We’re anticipating some friendly rivalries among community groups and various town departments, with prizes for the most outstanding parade entries.

Members of the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association are organizing the parade. They are coordinating with Community Emergency Response Teams across the state to make sure that Suffield’s Police, Fire, and Ambulance departments are free to participate in the parade without compromising the safety of the town.
