I cut the tape: the CVS register tape that runs to three feet or more!
At my last checkout for a prescription, the clerk waited for the tape that never came. Imagine my joy. I had to tell her that I had just signed up for email receipts. I felt like an envi-ronmental pioneer. Thinking of all the trees that I am saving. But am I? My receipt now resides on at least two power consuming computer servers: the CVS serv-er and the email server. Now I have to answer to, “Paper or server?” It’s too much.
