Warm Up with Winter Reading

Sign up for Winter Reading and earn raffle tickets each week you sign in at the library. No need to count minutes or hours or even books. Just pop in and fill out a raffle ticket each week. By February 29 you could have four tickets in to win a $50 gift card from Target! Also, each week when you fill in your ticket, you get a chance to spin the wheel for a free hot chocolate, treats and other prizes. Why wouldn’t you participate! Thanks to the Friends of the Kent Memorial Library for supporting all our events.

February Programs for Winter Reading Swag Day at KML

Saturday, February 1

Stop in for the first day of Winter Reading to get your first raffle ticket, spin the wheel and get some KML swag. It’s also Take Your Child to the Library Day, so feel free to grab a younger sibling and introduce them to the library!

Hot Chocolate Bar

Tuesday February 4 from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Stop by the bar in the gallery for make your own cocoa drinks. Add caramel, peppermint, whipped cream! Puzzles and crafts available as well. Grades 5-12

Finger–Knit a Scarf

Saturday, February 15 from 1 to 2 p.m.

This simple stitch, requires no experience or expertise, no equipment other than yarn and scissors and it is much, much quicker and easier than traditional knitting. Grades 5 to 12. Please register online. 15 spaces available.

Meet Niblet, the Turkey on a Leash

Saturday, February 29 at 10:30 a.m.

Meet Niblet and his friends as Christine’s Critters come for a visit to wrap up Winter Reading.
