Editor’s Note: The following letter was sent on April 2, 2020.
Good Afternoon First Responders,
I want to thank each of you for the extra efforts you are taking to keep our community safe during this challenging time. I am proud at Suffield’s level of professionalism and preparedness over the course of the last several weeks in the face of this crisis and want to recognize and thank each one of you for your contribution.
I also want to acknowledge the tremendous amount of stress being on the front lines of this pandemic can mean for you and your families. I am acutely aware of this as I published Suffield’s first mortality due to COVID-19 earlier today.
If the Town can do anything to support you during this difficult time, please let me know. Again, thank you for all you do.
