An early update on town road projects for 2020 follows.
Proposed 2020 Road Projects (Tentative) – Available funding includes $390,000 remaining in the FY 19/20 budget, which extends through the end of June, and $1.9 million available through a bond authorization approved in December 2019. Bond funding is also expected to extend through FY 20/21.
At this time the following roads are tentatively planned for different types of projects as indicated:
Crack Sealing (approx. 15 miles) – Andrew Lane, Bridge Street (Dylan Lane to East Street), Cassotta Lane, Catherine Lane, Cedar Crest Lane, Clay Creek Drive., Cold Spring Lane, Countryside Lane, Cowan Street, Deer Run, Devine Lane, Edgewood Drive, Farmstead Lane, First Street, Fourth Street, Grassmere Pond Lane, Harbourside Drive, Highland Ridge Drive, LaFountain Road, Lise Circle, Mapleton Avenue (Halladay Ave. to Thompsonville Road.), Marbern Drive, Marketing Drive, Melrose Lane, Overhill Drive, Pleasant View Drive, Pleasant View Drive Ext., Pondview Lane, Rawlins Brook Road., Ridgewood Road., River View Drive, Riverview Terrace, Royel Oak Lane, Second Street, Shallow Brook Way, Silver Creek Drive, Stratton Farms Road., Suffield Meadow Drive (East Street to Suffield Meadow Drive Ext.), Sunny View Drive, Sutula Road., Third Street, Valley View Drive Wainscot Lane, Whitfield Way, Williams Circle, Windbrook Drive, Woodland Terrace, Woods Hollow Road., Woodworth Street.
Milling and Paving (Approx. 2.5 miles) – Bridge Street north lane only (Bridge Street state road east to Dylan Lane, Cherry Brook Lane, Diane Lane, Fox Meade, Hunter’s Crossing, Jacqueline Circle, Pembroke Drive, Rosewood Drive, Susan Drive, Sycamore Lane, Tyler Lane, Willow Creek and Wisteria Lane (Boston Neck Road. to Tyler Lane).
Recycling and Paving (approx. 0.75 miles) – Chestnut Circle, Chestnut Drive, Old Mountain Road.
Shimming and Overlaying – Being considered to improve safety for several roads west of Babbs Road.
