Remembering Vets

Early Saturday afternoon, April 4, a driver reaches out with his contribution, probably a gift card, for the gals at the Shamrock Café to hand out on Sunday afternoon to veterans. Food, clothing, amusements, personal accessories, and more – all were welcome presents for the veterans who came by on East Street South in this gesture of appreciation on the first weekend after National Vietnam War Veterans Day. The newest national holiday, March 29, was established by Congress in 2017.
