New Parks Superintendent Tom O’Brien, fully familiar with his new home, is pictured earlier this year in Sunrise Park near White’s Pond.

The Suffield Conservation Commission is very pleased to welcome Thomas O’Brien as the new Sunrise and Stony Brooke Parks Superintendent. A lifelong resident of Suffield, Tom, his wife Kerry and their two children have a tremendous appreciation for our park properties. An association with the Boy Scouts since childhood, achieving the Eagle rank as a young man and continuing on with adult leadership in Troop 260, Tom brings with him the ‘Leave No Trace’ principles that will ensure the parks are maintained with the preservation level and the spirit of what the parks were intended to be. Tom is also very experienced with firefighter, emergency and rescue skill sets, which are invaluable for park visitors.

The Commission looks forward to working with Tom in helping to enhance and maintain the natural beauty of Sunrise and Stony Brooke parks.
