Although our planned “Big Weekend” is being rescheduled until October 2021, Suffield will still have a wonderful birthday party in October of this year!!!!
Fireworks
Pyrotechnico will put on an amazing show for us Saturday night, October 10 including a recorded musical accompaniment that you can listen to on your car radio! The extra-high fireworks will be visible from many locations around town. Details on the best viewing locations will be published soon.
Car Parade
A car parade starting on Sunday afternoon can be viewed safely from front lawns all over town! Neighbors are invited to decorate their cars, trucks and motorcycles to participate in the town-wide parade. Register in advance and receive a free Suffield 350th pennant! Commemoration
A socially distanced ceremony is planned for the morning of Monday, October 12, the town’s actual birthday. The ceremony is scheduled to be held in the parking lot at Suffield High and will also be broadcast as a Zoom webinar. The event will include a variety of speakers and several short musical performances. A recorded version will be published on the town website for later viewing.
Field of Flags
Visit the Field of Flags in the town center and Veterans Memorial Park from October 10 through November 11 to pay tribute, give thanks, and demonstrate a sincere appreciation for the service and sacrifices of others. Individuals, organizations, or businesses are invited to sponsor 3’ x 5’ keepsake flags in honor of loved ones. Applications can be found at Suffield350.org. The deadline to sponsor is September 1.
Outdoor Decorating Contest
