Summer Reading
June 29 to August 8:
It’s almost here! Sign up starts June 29! Kids age 3 – grade 5. Each week you read you can enter the weekly raffle. There are gift cards, gift baskets, crafts for curbside pick-up, and programs! Check our Website, Facebook and Instagram for details. You can get books and movies through curbside pick-up, also!
Tuesday, June 30, August 4: Curbside Craft (older kids): Starting with Origami on the 29.
Thursday, July 2, 16, 30, August 6: Curbside Craft (younger kids): We’ll start with a pig puppet on July 2!
Tuesday, July 7: Cartooning with Rick Stromoski (on Zoom) at 10:30 a.m. (grades 3-6). Rick Stromoski is the author and illustrator of the cartoon Soup To Nutz – and he’s from Suffield!
Thursday, July 9: Tour a Fire Truck (on Zoom) at 10:30 a.m. (Families) We’ll take a zoom tour of a fire truck with the Suffield Fire Department.
Tuesday, July 14, 21, 28: Science Experiments with Joe Grimard (on Zoom) at 10:30 a.m. Joe Grimard is a science teacher at Suffield High. We’ll be trying several fun things involving static electricity (2nd grade and up with a parent), fun with water (2nd grade and up with a parent) and the power of Mentos (2nd grade and up with parent).
Thursday, July 23: Fancy Nancy (on Zoom) at 10:30 a.m. (ages 4-8). Pick-up the crown craft, and we’ll zoom the story Fancy Nancy by Jane O’Connor. Feel free to dress fancy!
