First Church Responds to Pandemic

First Church of Christ Congregational in Suffield has chosen in this unprecedented time to live by the motto, “We Are Still The Church.” First Church is not worshipping within the walls of our beautiful building on High Street but continues to worship remotely online. We will be worshipping online through this Thanksgiving, November 2020. You can access our worship services from our website firstchurchsuffield.org.

Beyond our worship services, we continue to “Be The Church” through our Wednesday morning Bible studies on Zoom. We are also engaged in conversations about racism in our own lives through a summer study group of Debby Irving’s book, Waking Up White: And Finding Myself in the Story of Race. All are welcome to join these and future study groups by reaching out to us through our website.

Our congregation continues to “Be The Church” in our community and world by supporting our many missions including sandwich making for Enfield’s Loaves and Fishes, supporting Suffield’s Community Aid and putting together school bags for Covenant to Care. Our Hand’s On Faith youth program continues through bimonthly newsletters offering lessons, activities and music to our families. If you have prayer concerns you would like us to include in our weekly prayers, you may email them through the church website or drop them off in our Community Prayer Request Mailbox outside our church. In this time of Covid 19, please join us in online worship and in service to each other. We Are Still The Church!
