As Suffield students returned to school for the 2020-2021 year, they may have been surprised by the recent changes in their schools’ administration. The changes occurred over the summer with a reshuffling of personnel.
The leadership at the high school remains the same with Jim Blain as principal and Brendan Canny and Ashley Eichorn as vice-principals. The Suffield Middle School will also see no changes to its administration. Ken Smith will be principal and Dianna Kolodziey will serve as vice-principal.
The major changes will take place at the two elementary schools. McAlister has opened with Kris Pryce as interim principal. Kris, a Suffield native, had been serving as vice-principal at Spaulding Elementary School. Melissa Todd, a curriculum coach, will assist Kris as vice-principal.
Spaulding Elementary will have two new administrators. Gina Olearczyk, a K-5 Special Education Supervisor, is the new principal with Jack Ferraro, the former assistant principal at McAlister as the new assistant.
