White’s Pond is an important feature of Sunrise Park.

There is a great place in West Suffield called Sunrise Park. If you have not been there or do not know a thing about this great place, keep reading! Sunrise Park is a fun and relaxing place for all ages.

The center of Sunrise Park is White’s Pond, where you can swim (even dogs), kayak, or fish. (There is a separate fishing area for kids.) Also, for kids, Sunrise Park has a small playground, as well as plenty of open grass space. If you want to get your steps in, there are many hiking and walking trails. There is also a new addition called The Braille Trail. Another great thing about Sunrise Park is the pavilion where you can have a nice picnic, or you could even reserve it for a private event. The Girl Scouts in Suffield have enjoyed using Sunrise Park for their yearly Camporee. I love Sunrise Park because I love being outdoors.

If you haven’t been to Sunrise Park, hop in the car and head for 2075 Mountain Road, because Sunrise Park is waiting for you!
