The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) is pleased to announce that USA Today has named Bradley International Airport a winner in its 2021 10 Best Readers’ Choice travel contest in the “Best Small Airport” category. Bradley International Airport placed seventh out of fifteen airports that were selected by industry experts as the best across the nation.

In response to COVID-19, the CAA has continued to enhance services at Bradley International Airport over the past year aimed at providing a safe, clean and comfortable travel experience. More information about the safety measures undertaken and what travelers can expect can be found at www.bdlcares.com. This award adds to the list of recognition throughout the pandemic highlighting the proactive approach of passenger safety and customer service.

On its website, USA Today noted that Bradley International Airport “ranks as the second-busiest airport after Boston Logan, yet it remains a convenient option with on-site parking, lots of charging stations, free WiFi and proximity to both New York and Boston.”

Bradley International Airport was chosen by a panel of industry experts for inclusion in the Best Small Airport contest with USA Today, which was followed by four weeks of public voting nationwide. The full results of the contest can be found on the USA Today website: https://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-small-airport-2020/

This is Bradley International Airport’s second national recognition within the year, after also placing as a top ten airport in the 2020 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice survey.

Recently, the airport also received prestigious health accreditation from Airports Council International (ACI) World in recognition of the airport’s safety program, which benchmarks the airport’s COVID-19 response against other airports and industry standards.
