The newly revealed look of Suffield’s PeoplesBank branch is new indeed! A well-coordinated example of up-to-date style, it seemed rather a shock to former FNBS depositors, who recalled the cozy fireplace, local art on the walls, and generally traditional atmosphere. The former board room is now a utilitarian meeting room, available by reservation to community organizations during business hours. The one item unchanged is the massive vault door (left center, above). The staff reports that friendly customer service is also unchanged.
