Cassandra and Cameran Bosco

Congratulations to Cameran and Cassandra Bosco, who were chosen as the Rotary Students of the Month for September and October, respectively. Cameran and Cassandra are twins, and are seniors at Suffield High School this year. Both Cameran and Cassandra are very active at SHS and enjoy being involved together in many clubs and activities. Both Cameran and Cassandra are founders of the Student Athletic Advisory Council, a 50-student club that focuses on promoting leadership, community service, and an overall increase in positivity in the athletic environment. They work to manage student involvement and plan events within the school community. Both Cami and Cassie are members of our Interact Club, which is our Junior Rotary Club, whose motto is “Service before Self.” They are also members of the National Honor Society (Cami is the Reporting Secretary and Cassie is the Treasurer) and the World Language Honor Society. Our Wildcat Advisory Group (WAG) is a group that helps plan and run high school open houses and orientations for new students. Cami and Cassie are both part of WAG. Cami and Cassie received the Rotary Youth Leadership Award in Spring of 2021 for exemplifying leadership qualities and skills during Junior year. In the fall of 2019, both young ladies were nominated to receive the Shop Rite Kindness Award, when they were recognized for showing kindness by organizing a blood drive through the American Red Cross, among many other acts of kindness.

Individually, Cameran is involved in Peer Tutoring, where she helps students who are struggling in their classes. In addition, she has a tutoring business in our Suffield community. Cami has received awards such as “Excellence in Social Studies” and the “Peer Tutoring Award.” In her spare time, She works as a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor at Ellington Ridge Country Club. Cameran will attend college next fall to become a high school teacher.

Cassandra is involved with Unified Sports at Suffield High School. She has received the “Algebra II Award” and the “Life Ed Award” in the fall of 2020. Cassie is currently a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor at the YMCA, and in the past has been the Head Lifeguard/Swim Instructor/Manager at Ellington Ridge Country Club. She has worked as a summer janitor within Suffield Public Schools and as a gate attendant at Babb’s Beach. She has volunteered as a Patient Care Aide at a nearby hospital and has volunteered at the Suffield Senior Housing, gardening for senior citizens. Cassandra has been taking classes at Asnuntuck Community College in Clinical Medical Assisting and Genetics and Medical Terminology. She plans to attend college to become a Registered Nurse.

Congratulations to both Cameran and Cassandra on this well-deserved recognition.
