The Simsbury Hockey Team, consisting of players from a variety of local towns, won the State of Connecticut Hockey Championship tournament. The tournament was run at Newington Ice Arena in Newington from February 3 – 6. They won the State of Connecticut Hockey Championship tournament in the Squirt A1 Founders Division. In the tournament they went 5-0 to win the championship. James Barrett of Suffield was the goalie recording three shutouts during tournament play. This was a huge accomplishment for the team.
