Whether you are looking for fun sports to play or want to spend a day in the city, there are exciting activities for everyone to enjoy. April Break Vacation Camp: Where fun doesn’t take a break, even when school does! 

 This camp provides children in grades K-2 with a fun opportunity to enjoy various activities, sports, games, and arts and crafts during April break. Starting Monday, April 11 to Wednesday, April 13 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, campers will spend their days exploring and learning, showing off their creativity with arts and crafts, participating in games and much more.

E-Sports – In-person Mario Kart Tournament 

Kids between the ages of 11-18 years old are invited to hit the drift and get their practice laps in now for the upcoming in-person Mario Kart tournament this spring break. Race with your friends in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tournament to win gold!  

Tennis: Where learning has never been more fun

Led by an approved USTA Net Generation tennis coach, this tennis program offers children a chance to focus on developing the serves, strokes, movement, rally play and strategies of tennis while having fun. Adaptations, including modified tennis balls, age-appropriate rackets, court sizes and engaging activities are provided to help beginner players learn the game quickly.  

Tennis Lessons – Private, Semi-private or Small Group – Beginner/Intermediate 

Get a head start or speed up the learning process with the invaluable guidance of a skilled tennis coach. Learn to improve tennis fundamentals, footwork, strokes, and hand-eye-coordination. 

Enjoy a one hour private, semi-private or small group tennis lesson to help you significantly improve your game and become more competitive.  What a great opportunity to work on exactly what you need to work on to help your game with the individual guidance and attention of a skilled tennis coach.   

Bump, Set, & Spike into Spring with Adult Volleyball! 

Beginning in mid-April, this recreational volleyball program is offered for adults 18 and older who are looking to stay active and have fun while playing the exciting and engaging sport of volleyball.  

Men’s Recreational Basketball 

Join us this spring for Men’s Recreational Basketball at the Suffield High School Gymnasium. This program is for men who are 25 years and older. All basketball skill levels are welcome. Men’s Recreational Basketball will be held for eight weeks throughout the spring.  

Come out and play after school!

Join us for After School Play, where children in Grades 3-5 can enjoy all of their favorite recess activities. Whether your child loves to run around the playscape, play sports or participate in fun games run by Suffield Parks & Recreation staff, this program gives kids the choice of what activities they would like to participate in.  

Spring Fitness Squad      

Your child will enjoy this popular program designed for participants in grades 3-8 and various fitness levels. The class will be held on Mondays, May 2, 9, 16, 23 at the McAlister School. Children will engage in core, strength and agility training, plyometrics and other training exercises. The class focus is to motivate with positivity and fun activities in a safe non-judgmental environment. Geared towards making fitness a lifestyle. Parents please pick up from the back of the school gym entrance.   

Suffield Cheer and Spirit! (Grades K-2)  

Your child will have a fantastic time in our fun program that will encourage friend making and spirit and happiness in a safe and age appropriate manner. The program will be held on Tuesdays, May 3, 10, 17, 24 at Spaulding School.  Participants will learn introductory cheerleading skills while making new friends and getting beneficial exercise with talented instructors from World Cup Polaris All Stars.    

Planet Protectors Earth Day Re-cycled and Re-purposed Art Party  

Children in Grades K-5 will have an enjoyable afternoon while designing original craft creations on Wednesday, April 20. We will make a variety of fun spring Earth Day craft projects and turn recycled items including cards and calendars into beautiful treasures in this fun and creative class. Participants will also take part in fun earth day activities and go on an outdoor nature scavenger hunt if the weather is permissible.   

NYC Bus Trip- Take a Trip to the Big Apple

On Saturday, June 11, enjoy a day exploring the Big Apple on your own. See Chinatown, Little Italy, Central Park, a museum, the zoo, a Broadway show, or shop around! Use your imagination and freedom to check out all that NYC has to offer. Motor coach transportation is provided. The bus departs from the Suffield Senior Center Parking Lot (145 Bridge Street) at 7:30 a.m. promptly. Drop off points in the city include: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Plaza Hotel, and Rockefeller Center (subject to change).
