At the beginning of March, Troop 260 and 262 held a climbing event at Central Rock Gym in Glastonbury. For those unfamiliar with the gym, it is an impressive space with 40-foot high walls, 23,000 square feet of climbing terrain and over 120 climbing stations. “It was a great time, the scouts’ faces were like kids at a candy store with shock when they saw how big the building was!” said Daniel Craig, Troop 260 Senior Patrol Leader.

The scouts perfected their ability to execute a figure eight knot, learned climbing commands and tested their strength, both mentally and physically. It was a fun event for the adults as well who belayed for the kids.
